“Il Meloni government, unable to manage the PNRR, is drastically reducing the number of hospitals and community homes to be built in the coming years.
A dramatic scenario for our region that has suffered from an insufficient healthcare offer. The Campania Region's Territorial Health Plan, financed with a total investment of 380 million euros, envisaged the construction, by 2025, of 169 Community Houses, 45 Community Hospitals and 58 Territorial Operations Centers.However, the national government is proceeding with a review of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR/M6), which will also influence the funding allocated to the construction of these facilities. The review plan presented by the government reduces, at a national level, the number of community homes from 1.350 to 936 and the number of hospitals from 400 to 304. Therefore, 510 projects would no longer appear to be feasible, a reckless decision to the detriment of many communities”. The regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement denounced this through a written question Gennaro Saiello.
"I have asked the regional council to know the progress of the planning and construction activities of the planned health facilities. The Region must intervene immediately with the central government, also with the support of other regional and national institutions, so that the funds initially planned are maintained and the start of the innovation and modernization process essential to guarantee the right to health of our citizens is not blocked".
