Santa Maria Capua Vetere, argues with a man and stabs him: arrested

An argument that started over trivial reasons, which yesterday evening led to the stabbing of a fifty-six year old.

It happened yesterday evening at the former IACP buildings, in Traversa Raffaello in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in the province of Caserta, where the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the local Company intervened following a report of a violent fight in progress.

The military, who arrived on the scene together with the “118” personnel, found the victim with a large cut on his left hand. The man was entrusted to the care of the health workers who accompanied him to the hospital in Caserta, where he was found to have a cut wound on his left wrist, head trauma and bruises on his knees.

The same person provided the Carabinieri with precise information useful for identifying the attacker, thus allowing the immediate start of the search.

Thanks to the support of the local Municipal Police officers, it was possible to identify the attacker near Piazza Adriano, where the presence of a man had been reported who, in a confused state, was wandering around the area with a bag from which a large knife was sticking out.

After a few minutes, the same man, in an evidently altered state of mind and body and brandishing the knife still in his possession, was stopped by the officers and handed over to the Carabinieri.
The man, a thirty-year-old from the area, was reported at large and will have to answer for aggravated personal injury and possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence. The recovered knife was seized
