27 robberies of merchants in the provinces of Napoli e Caserta. Carabinieri carry out measures against 4 people: those of the gang of RenegadeThis morning the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna, as part of an investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Napoli North, have executed a personal precautionary measure order against four individuals from Sant'Antimo, all between 20 and 30 years old, known to the police, seriously suspected of the crimes of continuous and concurrent robbery, receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of weapons.
The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri with the use of wiretaps and shadowing and through a detailed analysis of the footage from the video surveillance systems, have allowed them to collect multiple pieces of evidence against the suspects in relation to the commission of 27 robberies, committed and attempted, to the detriment of as many commercial establishments in the Northern province of Naples and that of Caserta.
In particular, the defendants, always with the same modus operandi, aboard a stolen car, armed with pistols and sawn-off shotguns, allegedly, in the first months of 2023, hit supermarkets, pharmacies, distributors, bars, restaurants and tobacconists in the municipalities of Giugliano in Campania, Sant'Antimo, Casandrino, Grumo Nevano, Frattamaggiore, Aversa, Sant'Arpino, Casaluce and Teverola, committing up to 11 robberies in the same evening, recovering thousands of euros in stolen goods.
The evidence collected during the investigative phases was supported by the GIP who ordered prison for three and house arrest for one of the suspects.
