"We are at the end credits of a summer that has seen record numbers of admissions to the emergency room of the Cardarelli Hospital in Naples which continues to be the only emergency room at full capacity among Napoli and the province.
I am close to the healthcare workers and the management of Cardarelli, to whom I extend my solidarity and my commitment to finding solutions that allow them to carry out their profession in a dignified and efficient manner because only in this way can we comply with the constitutional mandate and guarantee the protection of public health.
I will request the establishment of a permanent roundtable on hospital and territorial emergencies to monitor and reform this strategic sector, which is currently suffering so much.

This is a battle that concerns us all and we must unite in fighting it. Politicians at all institutional levels, regional and national, must recognize the urgency of investing in public healthcare, so that people don't pay the price when they are most in need and vulnerable.
