The awareness-raising on road safety issues continues to involve young people and spread the culture of safe driving through the project “E…State con noi”.
As part of the initiatives aimed at making those who "live the road" more responsible, the Sorrento Peninsula was affected by the presence of the Lamborghini with the institutional colors and the "Pullman Azzurro" of the State Police, equipped with the most innovative technologies, with on board State Police personnel trained in communication, to convey suitable safe driving behaviors to road users.
The vehicle represents a real traveling multimedia classroom where it is possible to watch the projection of various films, try a driving simulator and test your reflexes on a route where, first hand, it is possible to understand what it means to drive in psychophysical conditions altered by alcohol or drug intake.
The road safety “tour” with a stop in the municipality of Sorrento, a highly touristic location, aims to involve the greatest number of people, especially young people, through road safety lessons based on themed games, films and cartoons to understand how important it is to drive without distractions and in the correct way.
The event took place in Piazza Lauro in Sorrento with the collaboration of the officers of the Naples Highway Police Section and the Sorrento Highway Police Detachment.
Furthermore, as part of the prevention campaign, the Highway Police has set up a service aimed at combating drunk driving.
In particular, during the activities, 25 vehicles and 30 people were checked, of which 3 were administratively fined for drunk driving; finally, 2 driving licenses were withdrawn and 9 administrative sanctions were contested for violation of the Highway Code and a total of 45 points were deducted from the driving licenses.
