Clean sea, protected beaches, Marina Grande di Sorrento at the centre of our interest: this morning a large portion of the public beach not entrusted to concession and part of the eastern side cliff were cleaned of waste deposited inadvertently on the occasion of the feast of Sant'Anna, after the fireworks display.
The operation was carried out with the contribution of the boys of the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area, with the volunteers of the European project “Mare”, coordinated by the Manager Domenico Sgambati, in agreement with the Municipality of Sorrento and the Department of the Environment.
This is an initiative of significant civic importance, strongly desired by the President of the Sorrento City Council Luigi Di Prisco and the environmental councillor Ilaria Di Leva, whose presence testifies to a solid rooting in the territory.
