This evening, by winning the world gold in the high jump, after being European champion in 2016 and 2022, and Olympic champion in Tokyo 2020 (in 2021), he became the second Italian athletics athlete to have achieved the 'triple', Olympics, World Championships and European Championships.
Before him, Alberto Cova in the 10.000 metres: in 1982 the European gold in Athens, in 1983 the world gold in Helsinki and in 1984 the Olympic gold in Los Angeles.
