Hundreds of Italian tourists are stranded at Haneda International Airport in Japan due to the double cancellation of ITA Airways flight 793 from Tokyo to Rome, which occurred on Friday the 18th and today, Saturday the 19th.

This was reported by two traveling lawyers, Stefania Scarpati from Florence who is accompanied by her 11-year-old daughter, and Sabrina Biscardo from Santa Maria Capua Vetere. Both are announcing initiatives. “We too are victims of this situation – explain to relatives from Japan – and we're astonished that no one has deigned to give us any explanations or information. All we have are ridiculous vouchers, and we'll evaluate all legal action available."

According to the two Italian travelers, the ITA-Airways Airbus 350 was scheduled to take off at 12:40 local time (5:00 a.m. Italian time) and land at Fiumicino Airport at 8:25 p.m. However, Friday's flight was first delayed by three hours, then by 11, and then moved to Saturday. In addition to the lack of information, there's the anxiety of missed connections and personal and work commitments that must be postponed, requiring contacting Italy from 10,000 kilometers away.

"There's an ITA Airways counter here, but no one's told us anything; it's closed. We're left to fend for ourselves, but there are families with children here. It's horrendous, and we don't know when it'll end.", say the two lawyers who are returning from a trip to the eastern country.
