In the recent case involving Giulia Tramontano, the 29-year-old pregnant woman killed by her boyfriend, significant doubts have emerged. Investigators suspect that Alessandro Impagnatiello planned for months to get rid of Giulia's fetus, little Thiago.
Inside the young woman's body, traces of toxic substances compatible with sachets of rat poison hidden in their home in Senago, in the province of Milan, were found. This crucial detail could indicate that Impagnatiello had premeditated everything.
The killer's terrible intentions
Alessandro Impagnatiello has repeatedly denied planning the murder, as he knows he would be punished more severely. However, his internet searches suggest otherwise: “how to kill a pregnant woman with poison” and “how to poison a fetus” are some of the questions Impagnatiello allegedly entered into Google months before the murder, in December.
Investigators believe that little Thiago was the main obstacle to the new relationship Impagnatiello was trying to establish with another girl. Around the same time the disturbing online searches were conducted, Giulia reportedly wrote to a friend that she felt ill after drinking “something hot.”
Now, investigators suspect that Impagnatiello poisoned Giulia gradually since the previous winter. In that case, a form of premeditated abortion could also be hypothesized.
