A completely illegal telecommunications pylon was discovered and seized inside the Matese Park.
And so this morning the military personnel of the Carabinieri Forestale Stations of San Gregorio Matese and Alife, with the assistance of officials of the Superintendency for the Landscape of Caserta and the manager of the local Technical Office of the Municipality of Castello del Matese, intervened in the locality of “Pincera” in the countryside of the municipality of Castello del Matese.
On a private property, falling within: agricultural zone “E” of the current PRG, protection zone for the conservation of the agricultural landscape of the slopes and valley bottom (CAF) of the Territorial Landscape Plan – Matese Massif Area approved with ministerial decree 04 September 2000 by the Ministry for Cultural Activities, in the protected area Zone C “Controlled Reserve Area” of the Matese Regional Park.
As well as within a Special Conservation Area called “Matese-Casertano” Site IT8010013 of the Natura 2000 Network, they proceeded with the preventive seizure of a significant new telecommunications infrastructure under construction.
The seizure was carried out because the authorization process for the work, which has a high impact on the landscape and the environment, was not completed.
An area of approximately 100 m1,50 of land within a wooded complex, delimited by a galvanized metal fence, raised with fill material to an average height of XNUMX meters above the original ground level, was seized.
Inside which a telecommunications infrastructure was being built, consisting of prefabricated modules constituting the base, on which a raised metal structure was anchored, with an estimated height of approximately 30 metres, to support the antennas.
The perpetrators were reported at liberty for having integrated crimes in urban planning and construction matters, for defacement of the landscape, for damage to a protected area and for deterioration of a Natura 2000 site.
