Starting on Thursday, August 24 (and until Saturday 26), the fifth edition of the review Il Salotto della Sfinge di Villa San Michele in Anacapri, meetings on cinema, literature and society. The theme of the event is youth.
“The Sphinx Lounge reaches its fifth edition and – underlines the superintendent Kristina Kappelin – continues to propose itself as a space in which dialogue, words, and comparison are the essential elements. We have chosen "youth" as a theme, to underline and highlight the commitment and tenacity of a generation under 30 who knows how to express their voice and reap the fruits of their labor. The value, creativity, strength, but at the same time the fragility of a complex world that represents the future. In art, in society, in entrepreneurship, in everyday life".
Among the guests of this edition: the actors Greta Esposito, Miguel Gobbo Diaz, Demetra Bellina and Pietro Turano, the former athlete Nina Corradini, the entrepreneurs Alessandro Marinella and Marianna Palella, the singer-songwriter Greta Zuccoli, the activist Victoria Oluboyo, the journalist Federico Poletti.

The Salotto della Sfinge opens on Thursday 24 August at 19 pm with the first meeting dedicated to the Forbes 30 under 30 most influential in Italy, Alessandro Marinella, entrepreneur, fourth generation of the historic Neapolitan tie brand, included by Gentleman magazine in the Top30 Millenials ranking of the most elegant men in Italy and Marianna Palella, CEO of Citrus, an innovative startup that has made the fruit and vegetable industry “sexy”, aiming to spread a more conscious food culture. Together with them Federico Poletti, editor-in-chief of MANINTOWN magazine, consultant and globetrotter in search of new talents. Starting from an academic background in art, the journalist has arrived at a vision of fashion as a multi-cultural project, a fluid crossover in which different aesthetics and forms of creativity 5.0 are mixed.
At 20 pm, the performance entitled “Enkel, vacker, öm: l'eredità di Monica Zetterlund” by singer-songwriter Greta Zuccoli, a Neapolitan artist with a career full of important collaborations with musicians of the caliber of Damien Rice and Diodato and a successful participation in Sanremo in 2021, among the new proposals, with the song “Ogni cosa di te”, will follow. Accompanied by pianist Mario Donato Pilla, on the stage of Axel Munthe's former Anacapri residence, she will pay homage to the great Swedish jazz musician.
Friday 25 August at 19 pm Nina Corradini, former Italian rhythmic gymnastics athlete, tells the story that inspired her book “Sorridendo sempre” published by Rizzoli. A denunciation of the pressures in the world of the “butterflies” of the national team. Abuse and humiliation written down in black and white so that the system and especially the working method of some coaches change. Also on stage is Victoria Oluboyo, a young woman in politics who, from Parma to Strasbourg, fights for civil rights. Of Nigerian origin, but raised in Italy, her love for social justice has pushed Victoria to take care of the weakest, enrolling in the faculty of law and entering the national management of the Democratic Party, among the new recruits that secretary Elly Schlein has decided to raise to the top of the party.
The talk continues at 20 pm with Pietro Turano, an actor known for his role as Filippo Sava in “SKAM Italia”, recently involved in the new series “Love club”, set in the Milanese queer scene. In parallel with his career in cinema, he is an activist committed to the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community as a national councilor for Arcigay and spokesperson for the Gay Center, where he mainly deals with young people, schools and universities, health and external relations. Also discussing art, rights and inclusiveness is Miguel Gobbo Diaz, the first black actor to have obtained, with the series “Nero a metà”, the leading role in an Italian crime drama. After studying at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, he began to tread the theater stages and then found himself on the sets of films such as “La grande rabbia” or series such as “Zero”.
On Saturday 26th at 19 pm on the stage of the panoramic terrace, the multifaceted actress Greta Esposito will tell her story of her rise in the world of cinema: from the character of Nina in the event series “Mare Fuori” to the role of Maria Scarpetta in “Qui rido io”, directed by Mario Martone. From the atypical and contemporary western by Michele Vannucci “Delta” to the film “Mixed by Erry”, a story of passion and dreams directed by Sydney Sibilia, up to “Shake”, a teen drama by Giulia Gardini, inspired by Shakespeare’s Othello in which the Neapolitan artist lends her face to the adolescent Emilia.
Last happening at 20.00:XNUMX pm with Demetra Bellina, an actress with a strong passion for music and writing. Coming out with her new film as the protagonist “Non credo in niente”, the first work by Alessandro Marzullo. A generational film about young people facing an important phase of life with all their fragilities, against the backdrop of a melancholic Rome.
