The exhibition, which is part of the cultural and innovative path undertaken by the Museo-FRaC Baronissi together with the Associazione Tutti Suonati, sponsored by the Municipality of Baronissi, with the artistic direction of the actor and director Andrea Avagliano, will have as its theme Tenacity, told through screenings and debates: from sport to music, from literature to entertainment, up to the theater.

“The aim of Visionnaire23 is to stimulate debate and critical thinking, as well as to provide reflections on the tools of documentary cinema in a new urban reality of Southern Italy, such as Baronissi. This year's theme is a dedication to all operators in the cultural sector, in a historical moment marked by an ever-increasing uncertainty of prospects for the future” – declares the artistic director of the exhibition Andrea Avagliano.

“We are at the third edition of the event that keeps us company during the most intense months of summer – says Gianfranco Valiante, mayor of Baronissi – and it does so by renewing itself year after year, bringing significant personalities from the Italian cinema and theatre scene to our city. The Visionnaire23 festival adds to the great offer of shows and concerts that Baronissi offers to those who, for years now, have frequented the districts of the Irno Valley. It is a great satisfaction for the municipal administration and for me personally to note the attentive and numerous participation of the public.”

On September 1st we start again with the exclusive event for Visionnaire23, on the occasion of the centenary of Italo Calvino, with the presentation of the volume “Calvino fa la conchiglia. La costruzione di uno scrittori”, by Domenico Scarpa (Hoepli publisher) and, at the end, the staged reading, entitled “L'uomo di Neanderthal”, taken from the Interviste impossibili with the actor Renato Carpentieri.

Another centenary on September 8th with the documentary Souvenir d'Italie and the debate with the director Giorgio Verdelli, the author Gino Aveta and the journalist Antonio Tricomi, on Lelio Luttazzi, a historic figure of Italian TV and entertainment, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. At the end of the evening, the pianist Lorenzo Hengeller will hold a mini-live entitled: Il giovanotto matto. It continues on September 14th with a double appointment: in the afternoon, at 18.30:2023 pm, a masterclass with Rino Sciarretta (Zivago Film) on the production of documentaries in Italy; and in the evening the director Fabrizio Corallo and the critic Valerio Caprara will present the documentary winner of the Nastro d'Argento XNUMX Award in the Cinema Entertainment and Culture section: Ennio Flaiano. Straniero in patria, the Italian intellectual, writer and screenwriter.

On September 22, Roman director Alex Infascelli will present his latest documentary Kill me if you can.

While on September 24, exceptionally from the tourist port of Marina D'Arechi in Salerno, there will be a meeting with Angela Ciaburri and Arturo Muselli, actors of the series Gomorra and recently returning from the success of the Rai series, Resta con me.

“It was and is a winning experience – highlights Massimo Bignardi, artistic director of the Museo-FRaC– which has acted and acts as a driving force for the entire project of a place no longer closed to the traditional space of permanent exhibitions, instead amplifies the offer in the direction of a new relationship to be woven with creativity and with the public. The exhibitions designed and set up for over twenty years bear witness to this choice and which today accelerate, thanks to the activity of the Visionnaire review, the meetings dedicated to reading, the theatrical performances: a projection of the fusion of creative languages.”

“The eighth edition of the Baronissi Blues Festival recently concluded – declares Fabio Clarizia, president of the Tutti Suonati association – and the third edition of Visionnaire begins next August 3rd, for us it is a source of great pride to have been able over the years to offer an annual cultural program characterized by continuity and quality, this thanks to the passion and commitment of our associates”.

Every year the Festival poster is based on a work by an artist, so this year we thank the heirs of the artist Renato Barisani for having granted permission to publish the symbolic image of this third edition.
