A 43-year-old woman, suffering from a rare genetic tumor and obesity, gave birth to Mya, a beautiful two-kilo baby girl born at the “Malzoni” clinic in Avellino in excellent health.
This is a story of extraordinary determination, starring Anna, who six years ago lost her first child, Carmine, born prematurely and with health problems.
Anna calls it a “miracle”, as she gave birth after nine months in a completely natural way, thanks to the help of Professor Carmine Malzoni, director of the Irpinia clinic, and Doctor Paolo Ascierto, of the “Pascale” institute in Naples, who assisted her from the fifth month of pregnancy. There were also difficult moments, such as the risk of placental rupture, but thanks to the doctors of the Avellino facility they were successfully overcome.
“They have made my life wonderful,” says Anna, “after years of feeling wrong and forgotten by God.”
