It's an almost unbelievable story because a technical operator from the Afragola police station, with the complicity of his brother, faked the robbery of his service pistol to pay off a debt.
But even though he handed over the gun to the creditor, the latter threatened him and his brother.
And this morning, by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples North, the State Police executed an order applying the precautionary measure of detention, issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Naples North, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, against five individuals seriously suspected—to varying degrees—of the crimes of embezzlement, illegal possession, sale, and carrying of a weapon, attempted extortion, feigning a crime, and theft.

The widespread investigation activity, carried out mainly through the acquisition of video surveillance camera footage and telephone and environmental interception activities, allowed to reveal the simulation of the robbery of the service pistol, with the complicity of his brother IB, also an employee of the technical roles of the State Police and two other accomplices.
The criminal plan was aimed at simulating the theft of the gun, which in reality had been made available to IR's creditors, through two co-defendants, in order to contain the pressing demands for payment of debts addressed to IR by its creditors.
The investigation also revealed that the creditor had taken possession of the weapon and then threatened IR with revealing to the police that he was in possession of his gun if he did not pay his debts.
