Almamegretta will perform at the former NATO base in Naples – Parco San Laise on September 22nd at 21 pm, their only concert scheduled in Italy.

An appointment with one of the most influential musical expressions that have emerged in Italy in the last 30 years.

Almamegretta can boast four Targhe Tenco awards, sixteen albums and thousands of concerts in Italy and Europe.

The famous group with albums like Animamigrante, Sanacore and Lingo has marked the Italian music scene becoming, at the same time, one of its most international representatives. A style that of Almamegretta that is based on the contamination between different musical languages that build a bridge between past and future, between imaginary places apparently distant from each other. The dub matrix constitutes its core, with a front man, Raiz, capable of exciting and shaking with his powerful and original voice.

The sound that made them famous all over the world has continuously evolved and moved in the direction of the artistic needs of the band and the lyrics, which have always been one of the cornerstones of their creativity. Their latest album “Senghe” which earned them the fourth Targa Tenco in the “best album in dialect” section at the latest edition of the award of the same name, has a metaphorical title, in fact as Raiz himself explains “Senghe in Neapolitan means cracks. We imagined a wall, apparently compact, but which in reality has cracks.

A wall can divide environments, but also people inside the same house, it can be an obstacle to communication. A wall can separate States, peoples. The cracks in a wall are therefore an opportunity: to let light pass through, but also to talk to each other, to confront each other.” The lineup lined up on September 22 for the unmissable concert at the Ex Base Nato will be composed as follows:

Gennaro T (Gennaro Tesone), Raiz (Gennaro Della Volpe), Pablo (Pier Paolo Polcari), Fefo (Federico Forconi), Albino D'Amato and Paolo Baldini
