The young gunman responsible for the bloody robbery of an engineer who was trying to refuel his scooter on the evening of March 29 in via Reggia di Portici in Gianturco was hiding in Castel Volturno.
And in fact, on behalf of the Public Prosecutor at the Juvenile Court of Naples, yesterday afternoon, the State Police and the Carabinieri executed an order for the application of the precautionary measure of placement in a CPA, issued by the GIP of the Juvenile Court of Naples, against a seventeen-year-old Neapolitan, seriously suspected of the crimes of attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated robbery, illegal possession of a firearm in a public place and receiving stolen goods.
On the evening of March 29, 2023, the seventeen-year-old, in collaboration with another individual who is being identified, while he was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle that was the proceeds of a robbery, allegedly first attempted to steal, under the threat of a gun, a man's scooter in via Reggia di Portici while he was stopped at a petrol station, and then hit him with 2 gunshots to the right knee and left buttock, causing him very serious injuries that could have caused his death.
In particular, the victim was transported in red code to the Emergency Room of the Ospedale del Mare where he underwent 2 emergency surgeries for the lesion of the right popliteal artery with consequent hemorrhagic shock and subsequently hospitalized with a reserved prognosis, for several days in danger of life.
The results of the investigations conducted by the Naples Flying Squad and the Poggioreale Operations Unit, the discovery in the minor's home of bullets compatible with those found at the crime scene (cal. 7,65 x 17 mm) and the physical descriptions provided by the injured party, have allowed us to gather serious evidence of guilt against today's suspect.
The young gunman was located in a home in Castel Volturno, accompanied by other individuals. During a search, a pistol loaded with ten 10x9 mm bullets was found hidden inside a closet, in his exclusive possession. He was subsequently reported to the judicial authorities.
