According to what was reported at the validation hearing before the investigating judge, 17-year-old LB from the Spanish Quarters did not realize he had killed the musician and, consequently, left the scene of the crime and then went to play cards.
Upon his return, his father told him that someone had died during a fight in Piazza Municipio.
Further details have been released regarding last Thursday's accident in Naples, where the 24-year-old musician Giovanbattista Cutolo was killed. The 17-year-old, who had already committed an attempted murder in the past, is currently being held in a juvenile detention center in the city on the orders of juvenile judge Valeria Veschini.
After the hearing to validate the arrest, the public prosecutor Francesco Regine requested and obtained the detention in prison for the boy, accused of aggravated voluntary homicide, unlawful detention, illegal possession and receiving of the weapon he kept in his waistband.
Although the boy claims he did not realize the deadly consequences of his actions, this does not diminish the seriousness of the incident, as highlighted by sources close to the investigation. Firing three gunshots at a human height inevitably implies the possibility of killing. It has been reported that the father informed the boy of the outcome of his actions.
In the meantime, the investigators of the Flying Squad have reconstructed the dynamics of the tragedy and identified the murderer, who confessed during an interrogation at the Police Headquarters. The position of the other suspects, adults, seems to be less serious, limited to involvement in the brawl that preceded the murder.
