During the checks, the Carabinieri identified some apartments whose occupants, having noticed their presence, threw bags containing numerous doses of cocaine out of the window. Further doses, thanks also to the nose of the drug-sniffing dog Max, belonging to the Carabinieri Canine Unit of Sarno, were found on the stairs leading to the apartments and in the possession of the accused.
The searches led to the discovery and seizure of a total of 85 doses of cocaine, around fifty doses of hashish, 1.085 euros in cash, in banknotes of various denominations and a baseball bat.
The seven reported at liberty will have to answer for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing, including a woman who, found in possession of the baseball bat, was also reported for carrying objects capable of causing offence.
