One of the leaders of the Vinella Grassi clan of Scampia carried out extortion from prison using an illegal cell phone that had been provided to him from outside.

This was discovered by State Police officers who executed an order for the application of the precautionary custody measure in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against 2 people.

Both considered seriously suspected of the crimes of attempted extortion aggravated by the mafia method and the aim of facilitating the association's activity Camorra called Vinella Grassi.

In particular, the investigation activity, carried out by the Flying Squad and the Secondigliano Police Station, was initiated by the complaint filed by the manager of a fish shop located in San Pietro a Patierno following extortionate conduct that was allegedly carried out against him in March 2023.
