This morning the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza carried out a large-scale operation, using “High Impact” methods, inside the “Parco Verde” in Caivano (NA) and in the surrounding areas where dozens of searches were carried out.

At the end of the aforementioned activities, the following were found and seized: narcotic substances such as cocaine and hashish, weapons and related ammunition, cash as well as video surveillance systems with cameras placed to monitor the premises and external areas.

Administrative checks were carried out to verify compliance with the Highway Code and the environmental health and hygiene conditions of the various properties located there.

In particular, 79 people were identified, 149 vehicles were checked, 12 of which were seized, the owner of a bar was administratively fined for failure to display the timetable and 46 violations of the Highway Code were also contested.

Finally, the census activity of the approximately 700 apartments in the Park has begun in order to ascertain their regular occupation.

This morning's operations represent, once again, the presence of the State in those territories characterized by strong discomfort.

The activity in question is, among other things, symptomatic of a strategic plan characterized by timely and structured interventions aimed at reaffirming the principles of legality.

For this “High Impact” over 400 operators from various law enforcement agencies were employed, including specialized departments such as the Scientific Police, the Highway Police, the Crime Prevention Unit, the Anti-Drug Dog Units of the State Police, the Anti-Drug and Weapons Search Unit of the Carabinieri, the Anti-Drug and Anti-Terrorism Dog Units of the Guardia di Finanza, the Departments of the Castello di Cisterna Group, the SIO of the Campania Regiment, the API of the Naples Group, the Frattamaggiore Group as well as the ATPI departments of the Emergency Group of Naples, Giugliano in Campania and Torre Annunziata of the Guardia di Finanza supported by the Metropolitan Police of Naples and the Fire Brigade.

The operations were controlled from above by helicopters from the State Police Flight Department and the Air Section of the Guardia di Finanza.
