Everything is ready in Piazza San Gennaro for the grand finale of Namasté Praiano. Oasi Olistica Special Edition: a memorable concert in the name of eco-sustainability.
Two bands with a unique sound will inflame the spectators with their rhythm, which comes from decidedly particular instruments: Capone & BungtBangt and Brigan await you in Praiano on Saturday 9 September starting from 21.30pm, to close a weekend where the protagonist was the well-being of the body and of the mind, in all its forms.
Brigan are Francesco Di Cristofaro (vocals, flutes, Iberian bagpipes, accordion), Andrea Laudante (electronics, field recordings, baglamas, percussion, vocals) and Gabriele Tinto (electronic drums, tammorra, tambourines, Caserta bass percussion, effects), to which Ramon Rodriguez Gomez is often added.
They were born in 2009 and from the province of Caserta they soon conquered Europe. They mix sounds of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean with Celtic and electronic atmospheres, in a whirlwind of melodies that is a real tour of the world while remaining still.
Over the years they have boasted several important collaborations and have received quite a few awards, suffice it to mention “Universo Folk” in Oviedo (2014); the “Pentafinum Jacobeo” for the best album dedicated to the Camino de Santiago (2019); Ethnos generations (2022).
Capone & BungtBangt are the Italian founders of Junk Music or ecological music. Since 1999 they have been transforming recycled materials and municipal solid waste into instruments of great acoustic quality that give a unique sound to the songs and lyrics written by the creator of the project, Maurizio Capone.
For over 20 years Capone with his band has been the symbol of a new way of making music, obtaining many awards but above all anticipating with brilliant creativity what has now become a central topic in everyone's life: environmental protection.
The group has performed on hundreds of stages and above all toured the world, touching all continents with concerts in Japan, Egypt, Romania, Germany, Cuba and Switzerland. His ability to transform waste into excellent musical instruments is an example of sustainable creativity that is very important in this historical moment. A sort of positive virus that leaves an indelible mark on the viewer and demonstrates, without rhetoric, that another world is possible.
For the public, the Praiano stage will be a great opportunity not to be missed to listen to both bands in their homeland, Campania, which remains the primary source of their inspiration.
Entrance is free! Namaste Praiano. Oasi Olistica Special Edition awaits you.
