AOn the eve of the reopening of schools, Roberta Vannini, general secretary of Uil Scuola Rua Campania, denounces the lack of administrative staff and announces a union protest at the headquarters of the Campania Regional School Office in Via Ponte della Maddalena in Naples.
The initiative will be held on Friday, September 15 at 10. "There are many, too many, schools that complain about a shortage of ATA staff that is not adequate for operational needs. The Administration's response to our requests for authorization of additional derogation positions was that they are waiting for the Pnrr funds. Yes, European funding is positive, but the problems that schools are experiencing are urgent", says Vannini.
“We certainly cannot accept that schools are unable to open their buildings, that they are unable to carry out the most common administrative procedures, that there is even a lack of surveillance, especially in the most at-risk neighborhoods and which are often the scene of news stories, old and new”he adds.
Vannini then accuses politics: “We waited for the administration, after careful evaluation of the reports of the school principals, to give concrete answers, instead we find ourselves forced once again to hear only 'delaying'. The schools of our region cannot afford to wait! The Campania school deserves better”.
