He sows panic on the highway and attacks the police. A 44-year-old of Neapolitan origins ended up in handcuffs - after being blocked with a taser.
He is accused of assault and insult to a public official, as well as of attempting to undermine transport safety.
In detail, the presence of a subject was reported who, after having parked his car, due to a breakdown, near the Capua motorway junction, suddenly went into a rage, throwing stones at passing motorists and dangerously crossing the road.
A first patrol from the Caserta Nord Highway Police Subsection intervened on site, followed by another team from the Naples Nord Subsection, whose operators, with great difficulty, managed to block the criminal and avert the serious danger to road safety.
In particular, the man, clearly agitated, at the sight of the police officers moved to the centre of the carriageway of the A/1 motorway, heading south, causing a traffic block on the motorway for several minutes.
Therefore, the police immediately activated all the appropriate procedures to secure the motorists who were driving ahead on that stretch of highway. The various attempts made to establish contact with the subject and restore calm were in vain.
In fact, the police, after having suffered the violent attacks of the criminal, managed to stop him only through the use of the electric pulse gun (Taser). The man was arrested and judged with a summary trial, at the end of which he was placed under house arrest.
