Le celebrazioni solenni per la festa di San Gennaro, patrono di Napoli, avranno inizio lunedì 18 settembre.

At 17.00:XNUMX pm, at the church of San Giorgio a Forcella, a short liturgy of the word will be held to start the procession, which will be opened by the Carabinieri fanfare. The ASL managers, blood donors and members of the San Gennaro Diocesan Committee will follow.
At 18.00:XNUMX pm, at the Cathedral, the Vigil Rite will take place with the celebration of the first vespers, presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Naples, Don Mimmo Battaglia.
The canons of the Metropolitan Chapter, the Prelates of the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, a delegation of the Committee with the president Carmineantonio Esposito and the torchbearers of the "relays of faith", promoted by the Italian Sports Centre, will also participate in the procession.
During the celebration, the Archbishop will deliver the message for the new year and the pastoral agenda to the diocesan community. Before the conclusion, the votive candle will be lit in front of the Relics of San Gennaro, in the Crypt.
