The ASL Napoli 1 Centro has ordered the suspension of the private clinic, Smeraglia Clinic on Via Benedetto Brin in Gianturco, where Alessia Neboso, a 21-year-old Neapolitan woman who died a few days after undergoing breast augmentation surgery, underwent surgery.
The staff of the ASL of Napoli, on the instructions of General Manager Ciro Verdoliva, carried out an urgent inspection inside the clinic yesterday, following which it was decided to suspend all activities there.

The 21-year-old had undergone breast augmentation surgery, but after about seven days she began feeling generally unwell, with a high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms. She was taken to the emergency room of the Villa dei Fiori clinic in Acerra, where she died shortly thereafter. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
