'Co-Scienze Gastronomiche. La cucina solidale di Agraria' is the new project of Federico II that includes the creation and distribution of meals for the needy.
The initiative will be presented on Friday 15 September, at 12, in Room 3 of Building 82 of the Department of Agriculture, in Parco Gussone, in the Reggia di Portici.
The goal is to spread the culture of eating well in the name of health and solidarity. A healthy cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean Diet without waste, with excellent local products and menus designed to offer the right balance between traditional flavors and correct nutritional intake. This is the idea from which 'CoScienze Gastronomiche' of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II was born, which involves the cooking and distribution of solidarity meals.
The project will be presented by Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University of Federico II, Danilo Ercolini, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Raffaele Sacchi, Coordinator of the Degree Course in Mediterranean Gastronomic Sciences, Antonio Pescapè, Delegate for Innovation and Third Mission of Federico II, Alessandro Buttà, General Director of Federico II, Vincenzo Cuomo, Mayor of Portici, Ciro Buonajiuto, Mayor of the City of Ercolano, Father Claudio Jovis of the Convent of Sant'Antonio in Portici and Father Pasquale Incoronato of the Church of Santa Maria del Pilar in Ercolano. The Chefs Ludovico D'Urso, Giuseppe Sorrentino and Antonio Esposito of the Provincial Association of Chefs of Naples will speak.
CoScienze Gastronomiche will involve internal and external resources to the Department of Agriculture, professors, University staff and especially students, together with associations, companies, testimonials and non-profit organizations.
