After a tour of around 60 dates in Italy, Novaffair, a band from the Neapolitan province – with a musical production that ranges from Italian and Anglo-Saxon alt-rock, inspired by Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Editors, Afterhours, Verdena to stoner expressions like those of Queen of the Stone Age – are in the studio to release their next album (scheduled for January 2024).
On September 8, the album release will be preceded by the single “La fine del giorno”, which will be presented on September 9 on an exceptional stage, when the group formed by Livio Arenella (vocals and guitar), Marco Penza (guitar and backing vocals), Pierluigi Patitucci (bass and backing vocals), Mariano Penza (drums) will open Manuel Agnelli's concert at the Ecosuoni Festival (Palma Campania).
“La fine del giorno” is the first single from the new album by Novaffair, which sees a strengthened collaboration with producer Massimo De Vita (Blindur), who, together with Paolo Alberta, also recorded the songs at “Le Nuvole Studio”. The album will be released with the Accannone Records label of Max Martulli, historic tour manager of Afterhours, Negrita, Diodato. The song, like the entire album, reflects the band's musical references. « , ̀ , ».
Novaffair is a band born in the province of Naples. In 2016 they released an EP “St'ep”, which was followed by various live shows in Italy. But the turning point came in 2020 thanks to the meeting with the singer-songwriter and producer Massimo De Vita (Blindur), who took care of the artistic production and recording of the single “Weekend”, which was followed by a video clip directed by Alessandro Freschi (Frè) and starring Carlo Caracciolo (an actor known to the public for having taken part in the series “Gomorra”). The song “Weekend” led the band to be selected among the ten finalist projects in the #1MNEXT2021 competition (Primo Maggio Roma). In April 2021 they signed with #Accannone Records Label, led by Max Martulli. In July 2021 “SOTTOSOPRA” was released, the second single accompanied by a video clip directed by Vincenzo Russo; On October 15, 2021, “AUT AUT” the new five-track EP, published with the record label #Accannone Records and followed by a live set throughout Italy, will be released on all platforms. The video clip for the third single “(Io sono) la neve” was made in May 2022, which sees the collaboration with the director Alessandro Freschi (Frè) renewed.
