In an interview with 'Corriere della Sera,' Don Patriciello, the parish priest of Caivano, talks about his meeting with Giorgia Meloni.

Initially, he had thought of applauding her, but decided to hold back. However, he invited her and she accepted without hesitation. During the meeting, three ministers, a prefect, the police chief and the bishop were present. Later, she also spoke in front of the cameras.

Don Patriciello claims to be a person of faith and to believe in the words spoken. However, if those words remained just words and did not translate into concrete actions, he would be the first to express his disappointment.

The parish priest recalls having met numerous authorities during his life, but he considers Giorgia Meloni as the first woman to hold the office of prime minister. He appreciates the fact that she was prepared and said the things he wanted to hear. He refers, for example, to the announcement of the reopening of the sports center, which he considers a sort of resurrection.

The commitment made by Giorgia Meloni to reopen the sports center by next spring is described by Don Patriciello as almost a miracle. He emphasizes that in his community there are young people who have to cross five drug dealing squares to go to school and who live in the midst of great temptations. The reopening of the sports center will allow them to return to practicing sports and distract themselves positively.

Despite the importance of the initiative, Don Patriciello confesses to receiving annoyed phone calls from his left-wing friends, who do not forgive him for having welcomed Giorgia Meloni.

However, the parish priest justifies himself by saying that even the governor De Luca admitted that the State has never done anything for that area. Therefore, according to Don Patriciello, he could not remain with his hands in his pockets.

Furthermore, Don Patriciello refers to the missed meetings with the mayor of Naples and the mayor of the metropolitan city Manfredi, stating that he was neither seen nor heard by them.
