“European Heritage Days (EHD)” is the initiative that in previous years has been most successful in terms of participation and number of activities organised in the Union in the cultural field.

On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September, museums and cultural venues will organize special initiatives and extraordinary openings on the theme “Patrimonio InVita” to invite people to reflect on the importance of intangible cultural heritage, synonymous with “living” heritage.

The various forms of knowledge, cultural values, and traditions are legacies received from the past to better understand the present.

Craftsmanship, dance, music, and insights into the contents of collections and works are just some of the themes that museums and cultural venues will be able to dedicate these days to.

The Ministry of Culture will also promote the "Young European Heritage Makers Competition - Young protagonists of European cultural heritage," aimed at children aged 6 to 17, on the theme of the European Heritage Days.

Also within the GEP, there will be the Call for European Heritage Days Stories, which will give the organizers of the Days the opportunity to award a prize of up to 10 thousand euros to the best project, thanks to resources allocated by the Council of Europe.
