On September 16th at 11 am there will be the inauguration of the iconographic exhibition on San Gennaro, which will last until September 30th at the church of Santa Maria Stella Maria in piazzetta Grande Archivio: “Sangue Nuosto”.

“It is a great emotion for us who have always told and spread the history of Naples, we also defend it thanks to historical re-enactments and iconographic exhibitions – declares the president of the association I Sedili di Napoli, Giuseppe Serroni – The church will exhibit over 20 works of art, panels, and private collections of Dr. Gianmaria Lembo and Dr. Giovanni Samo, from the 700th and 800th century in Naples. There will also be a half-bust of San Gennaro in terracotta and papier-mâché from Nola by the master Leopoldo Santaniello, which recalls ancient arts, while as modern and “poor” art, there will be a stylized San Gennaro by the master Giancarlo Minniti.

In short, the exhibition that sees other realities and associations that support the event called to gather, such as Le Botteghe di San Gregorio Armeno, and the Seggio del Popolo, and as Media Partner the daily newspaper “L'identitario”, will certainly bring a lot of interest among Neapolitans and tourists, thanks to the fact that Naples is rediscovering its historical and cultural roots, and the desire to protect these riches by making them known to the world that envies us” – concludes Serroni.
