Tiano and Di Carlo of Bellizzi win.

The six days of the Fabula Award flew by. Between smiles, tears, loves, emotions and stories the kids archive an extraordinary experience that helped them grow. With names and presences, which are a symbol for these young people, they held hands to dream together of a better future.
Yesterday evening in a crowded Piazza del Popolo the latest stories from the grand finale with the journalist of Italia 1 Gaetano Pecoraro who behind the scenes said: «Fabula is an extraordinary experience, I put my heart into it». A few words before returning to the role of host, introducing and interviewing the pillar of cinema, the super guest Giancarlo Giannini.
"You made me discover an extraordinary world, I'll be back next year," Giannini began, sending the crowd into raptures. "You always have to do everything to the best of your ability. Give yourselves the prizes, be proud and aware of your ideas," added the Maestro, also allowing himself a moment of poetry, at times funny, when he improvised a sketch with Marco Zurzolo, a Neapolitan saxophonist and composer, pretending not to like his musical accompaniment.
In the square everyone is standing for Giannini, applause is raining down. Before him it was Nico Acampora's moment, founder of PizzAut: “Being a superhero means calling a disabled boy for a walk. If you do this, you all will be”, he said raising the castle to the sky. In the middle another great favourite, Giampaolo Morelli. “It's amazing for me to be here,” Giampaolo Morelli begins, then adds: “Don't let yourself be influenced by the judgments of others. Go ahead following your choices and believe in them to the end“, he suggests to the kids. A surprise Fabula Award also goes to Pierluigi Gigante, a young actor from Salerno, star of “Nata per te”, the film about the story of Luca Trapanese and his daughter Alba, in theaters from September 28.

“This year we received 500 fairy tales, a number that makes us dream and imagine a new edition full of news and surprises. Thanks to all the volunteers, without them the Festival could not grow” the words of President Giovanni Serritella. On the same day the lights of the Arena Troisi went out: the moderator of all the meetings Concita De Luca, in the general emotion, postponing the creatives to next year.

THE WINNERS OF THE FABULA AWARD 2023

For the “fairy tales” category, the Fabula Prize 2023 goes to Alessandro Tiano with “Il cavalluccio e il ciuccio”. “The structure of the fable highlights an edifying narrative twist: the denial of all prejudice to live in peace and sharing the common good”, we read in the motivation. Alessandro, from Bellizzi, is participating in the Festival for the first time, he has to go to the second year of middle school, he plays soccer and supports Salernitana.

For the “storytellers” category, the 2023 Fabula Award goes to Elisa Di Carlo with “Pelle di serpente”. “The story, set in Calitri, aims to highlight that we must know how to appreciate and value what we have without giving up on our dreams and new horizons”, writes the commission. Ready for the second year of middle school, she is participating in the Festival for the second time. She is from Bellizzi and she thought of setting the tale in those alleys where her superhero, her grandfather, grew up.

For the storytellers category, the mention of merit for having particularly distinguished themselves in the writing of an original and expressive narrative text goes to: Angelo Ferrara with "Il vero ero", Carmine Moscatelli with "La lepre", Mariapaola Lamberti with "Beauty does not he sees with his eyes”, Giuseppe Castiglia with “Umberto nel mondo dei dreams”, Ilaria Romaniello with “L’appearance deceives”, Italia Bisogni with “You are important”, Luisa Terralavoro with “We are our greatest discovery”, Caterina Montella with “The nursery rhyme”, Mia Landi with “La favola di city baby”, Giorgia Rosa with “The little fox teaches”.
