Capri Festival, De Filippo Awards presented Titina and Luigi De Filippo Awards at Villa Axel Munthe in Anacapri.
The third edition of the Capri International Festival continues, under the artistic direction of Geppy Gleijeses, who has chosen the island's most extraordinary locations for the performances, including the Certosa di San Giacomo, La Canzone del Mare, Piazza San Nicola in Anacapri, the theater of the Grand Hotel Quisisana, and Villa Axel Munthe. Last night, after riding in the small cloister of the Certosa di San Giacomo, actress Marilù Prati performed her show, featuring readings of texts by the poet Rainer Maria Rilke dedicated to Capri.
The festival then moved to Anacapri for the presentation of the Titina De Filippo and Luigi De Filippo awards.

Villa San Michele, one of the locations strongly supported by the "Il Canto delle Sirene" festival organizers, was chosen for this special evening. It became the ideal setting for the awards ceremony, established for the first time this year and dedicated to Titina De Filippo and Luigi De Filippo. More than a ceremony, it was a true happening, as artistic director Geppy Gleijeses described it. Before presenting the prizes, selected by a jury composed of Anna Caterina Carloni, Titina's granddaughter, and Laura Tibaldi De Filippo, Luigi's widow, the awards were presented to two milestones of Italian theater: Milena Vukotic, who performed a monologue, enchanting the audience, and Mariano Rigillo, who paid tribute to the evening with the poem "O' Mare."
The winners of the award for best theatrical performance 2022-2023 were Carlo Buccirosso, a brilliant entertainer with anecdotes dedicated to Eduardo De Filippo and Vanessa Scalera who, unable to attend the event in person, thanked the jury for being selected, through a video contribution.
The Capri International Festival is organized by the Capri International Festival Association and is an event planned and funded by the Campania Region (POC 2014-2020) through Scabec, Società Campana Beni Culturali, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the participation of the Municipalities of Capri and Anacapri, and the collaboration of the Regional Museum Directorate of Campania and the Certosa di San Giacomo.
