Last stop of the “Cinquanta Summer Fest” at Cinquanta – Spirito Italiano which, thanks to the support of “Radio Base”, characterized the summer of 2023 of Pagani and the entire Agro nocerino sarnese.
After the first date on Thursday 8 June with the live performance of Gabriele Esposito, a former contestant on XFactor 11, and that of 6 July with Dada', and that of 3 August with the rap of Flaminio Maphia, the “Cinquanta Summer Fest” concludes on Thursday 7 September with the Salerno-based Banda Maje, the funk, soul and disco group that is truly unique in the regional and national music scene.
Let yourself go was the leitmotif of this torrid summer that is about to end with the last stage of the musical project conceived by the cocktail bar in Pagani, in the province of Salerno.
Born under the sun of “Salifornia”, or Salerno, and raised on bread, funk and skits, Banda Maje is a family more than a simple band: an ever-changing number of members within which everyone plays everything, a physical and mental place that is the perennial scenario within which their music moves and which responds to the city of Salerno.
From a house/studio in the historic center of Salerno, which is the material space where overseas funk, soul and disco meet with the indigenous way of conceiving melody, to the rest of the city, which shapes and forms their imagination, full of character-masks, and for this reason so deeply cinematic. Behind the camera of the entire project are the names of Peppe Maiellano, keyboardist and composer, and Tonico Settanta, rapper, producer and DJ.
The evening of Thursday 7 September concludes the project “Cinquanta Summer Fest”, where music was the protagonist of the summer evenings for the Italian cocktail bar in Pagani (SA). An interesting program, which embraced different musical genres, from funk to hip-hop, from singer-songwriter to experimental music.
All you have to do is sit down, have a drink, listen to good music and then “let yourself go”.
Fifty - Italian Spirit is an Italian cocktail bar born in 2021 in Pagani, in the province of Salerno. In 2021 Gambero Rosso included it among the "Bars of Italy" while BarGiornale elected it "Bar Revelation of Italy". 2022 is the year of consecration: it is named 192nd bar in the World by "500 Top Bar"; it collects the second place as "Best Bar Team in Italy" according to BarGiornale; again included among the "Bars of Italy" according to Gambero Rosso; the general manager Natale Palmieri ranks 2nd at WorldClass Italia; the bartender Leonardo Morra becomes the national winner of the Amaro Lucano Competition; the bartender and room manager Emanuele Monteverde ranks 2nd at Patròn Perfectionist Italia.
