"Someone broke into my bedroom at six in the morning and locked us in. I realized what was happening and ran onto the balcony. I started screaming, but at first no one seemed to hear me.
Luckily, a lady noticed me and raised the alarm. When the police arrived, they freed us. I'm completely terrified, especially because I suffer from claustrophobia, and this is the third time I've been involved in a robbery. I'm truly exhausted. The city feels abandoned, and I've decided to leave."
This is what actress Ida Di Benedetto said, adding that "I can't sleep at night anymore" after the burglary she suffered in her home while she was with her partner, former minister Urbani.
"I used to come here just to enjoy the sea view from my balcony, but it seems word has gotten around, and now they seem to know who we are and occasionally target us.

Actress Ida Di Benedetto expressed her disappointment and sorrow over the incident she suffered last Tuesday in Naples, where she was the victim of a robbery while she was in her bedroom with her partner, former minister Giuliano Urbani.
He appealed to President Giorgia Meloni, calling for an anti-Camorra operation in the area where his apartment is located, in the "Torretta" district of the city, now considered a "hostage of the Camorra."
The first theft she suffered was her car. Then, a year and a half ago, her silverware and jewelry were stolen, including a very expensive ring that belonged to her mother. "I can't take it anymore," says the actress, who turned 78 on June 2nd. "At night, we close the balconies with an iron bar that I had installed by a blacksmith."
Regarding the circumstances of the incident, the actress reports that the thief or thieves entered her apartment from the outside, despite it being on the first floor of a fairly tall, old building. This didn't deter the criminals. Regarding the loot, she confirms that this time only personal effects—cell phones, perfume, and the former minister's watch—were stolen, but in the past, she has suffered much worse damage.
