Mafalda Minnozzi, the internationally renowned Italian singer and songwriter, will be a guest at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, where she will perform on September 18th at 7:00 PM. On the IIC stage, Minnozzi will perform "Naples, Port of the Soul," accompanied by Paul Ricci (guitars) and Dario Eskenazi (piano). This musical showcases the Naples of the world, with its melodies, harmonies, and stories of love and passion that speak to the hearts of the people.
The concert is a journey to discover Neapolitan folk song.
Throughout her career, the singer has fused her vocal virtuosity with jazz, samba and other musical cultures with which she has come into contact to create a unique style that has projected her into an international dimension.
Neapolitan singing is an integral part of these cultures. She has produced 20 CDs, 2 DVDs and countless soundtracks for films and television series as a singer and composer. Her most recent recording production is the album “CINEMA CITY” which competed at the Grammy Awards 2023 and is dedicated to the masters Rota, Morricone, Cipriani, Mancini, Rustichelli, Rascel and Califano, authors of the most celebrated soundtracks of Italian cinema.
