If you think that UFO sightings are an exclusively American phenomenon, you are very wrong. Japan is quickly becoming a new focal point for reports of unidentified flying objects (UAP), especially in the Fukushima province.
Recently, Takeharu Mikami, director of the newly formed International UFO Lab, revealed that out of 452 alleged UFO evidence submitted to the lab since 2021, a whopping 125 photos and 24 videos appear to show potentially extraterrestrial objects.
While the Japanese government seems little interested in these discoveries, the United States Department of Defense has taken UFO sightings in Japan very seriously, so much so that it has opened a new website to collect reports from around the world.
Some skeptics suggest that the sightings could be linked to geopolitical tensions. For example, in 2020, a flying object was spotted that was later linked to a Chinese spy balloon shot down by the United States. This raises the question of whether UFOs are truly extraterrestrial vehicles or simply a diversion to cover more common military operations.
In any case, one thing is certain: Japan is becoming a fertile place for UFO sightings, and the rest of the world is starting to pay attention. The same situation has recently occurred in Mexico, where the bodies of two alleged alien mummies have been presented.
