Fires: Wooded area in Caserta on fire, 20 hectares in flames

Since 9 this morning a team from the Provincial Fire Brigade Command of Caserta coming from the Command headquarters is engaged in putting out a fire that affected a large wooded area of about twenty hectares in the municipality of Valle di Maddaloni.

On site, to support the red helmets, there are also two AIB teams from the Campania region and two helicopters, one from the regional forest firefighting and a brand new Erickson from the Fire Department, which are carrying out launches managed from the ground by the Dos (Director of Rescue Operations) personnel from the Campania region. Currently the intervention is still ongoing, but under control.

Yesterday another fire broke out in a nearby area, in particular in a mountainous area overlooking Maddaloni, clearly visible from Caserta, and an aircraft intervened to put out the flames.
