A large fire is currently underway in the Barra neighborhood of Naples inside a warehouse storing materials, apparently of Chinese origin, on Traversa Vicinale Fossitelli.
Carabinieri from the Poggioreale company, members of the Naples Mobile Radio Unit, and firefighters were on site. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, according to the force.
Efforts are underway to contain the flames, but the cloud of black smoke with a nauseating odor is making the air unbreathable. Residents have been forced to stay indoors.
The streets have become deserted throughout the area due to the danger of inhaling the toxic smoke.
