From 11th to 13th September at the University of Salerno the prestigious international conference Cladag is underway, organized by SIS (Italian Statistical Society) every two years since 1997. The number of participants and research works presented that address problems of classification and data analysis, a central topic in the field of artificial intelligence and big data, is remarkable.
Of particular interest among the works on innovation and social sustainability is the research work 'METHOD FOR THE QUALITY CONTROL AND OPERATORS TRAINING IN MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES' relating to the analysis of Inhelmet, patented intelligent helmet for training and verification of maintenance activities of electrical systems, conducted by the Ineltec company with the computer science research centre and the contribution of Prof. Massimiliano Giacalone, lecturer at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
The wearable, empathetic and ergonomic helmet, through its sensors increases quality and safety in maintenance activities and allows to certify skills in the field. The research work, presented by the research doctor Angelo Romano and freely available in the Book of papers of the conference, confirms the high quality level of innovation resulting from virtuous synergies of the South.
Massimiliano Giacalone, teacher at Capua and co-author of the research work stated 'We are proud of the scientific feedback received at this prestigious conference of the research work that confirms the beautiful synergy between the academic world of Campania, the world of research and the world of virtuous business. By analyzing the data of the intelligent helmet of Ineltec it will be possible to extract realistic workflows and improve the quality of any training and maintenance process'.
