Summer is ending but the Carabinieri of the Ischia company continue to carry out checks in the municipalities of Ischia, of Forio and Procida in monitoring tourist flows arriving and departing from commercial ports.
The Carabinieri of the mobile radio unit reported a 22-year-old from Forio for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The man – involved in a road accident that occurred in via Quercia di Ischia – was found with a blood alcohol level of 1,11 g/l. The 22-year-old, driving a scooter, was also fined for driving with a license already withdrawn on July 14, also in that case he was found drunk while driving.
The Carabinieri of the Forio station have instead reported a 42-year-old local man for theft in a house. The man was stopped aboard his car in via provinciale Panza. The investigations of the military have allowed them to ascertain that the 42-year-old - shortly before - had climbed over the fence of a house on the ground floor to steal 2 bags containing money and various documents.
The Carabinieri of Forio also fined the owner of a commercial establishment because, outside of the permitted hours, there was amplified music in the area in front of the premises in Piazza Municipio. For the owner other sanctions including the lack of a device to detect the blood alcohol level at the exit.
Reported to the prefecture 6 boys checked on the Forio seafront and found in possession of small quantities of narcotics. Similar fate for another 6 minors surprised by the Ischia carabinieri on the right bank of the port and on the Cristoforo Colombo seafront - where the youngest to have a dose of hashish was 13 years old - and for another 3 boys found with a joint in Procida, in via Roma.
During the operations, the military identified 320 people and checked 181 vehicles, issuing 21 traffic fines for parking violations, driving without a helmet and having a vehicle without insurance.
