On March 15, the Court of Bolzano, at the request of the local Prosecutor's Office, had issued a prison order against him for receiving stolen goods, but since then he had disappeared without a trace. We are talking about Salvatore De Vitale, a 58-year-old from Secondigliano already known to the police.
The man should have served a sentence of 3 years and 2 months in prison but had been in hiding for 6 months, hence the reasoned decree of the judicial authority and the status of “fugitive”.
The Carabinieri of the investigative unit of the provincial command of Naples have never stopped looking for him and the investigations - carried out with technical and traditional activities - ended this morning with his capture.
The military, at the forefront of web patrolling, monitored financial and social flows and managed to track down De Vitale.

His capture should have taken place this morning but the 58-year-old “anticipated” the Carabinieri. The military, in fact, were ready to use cutting-edge equipment given that the search area had become increasingly restricted but in the end, once again, technology was surpassed by tradition.
The Carabinieri are combing the neighborhood ready to intervene when they recognize De Vitale. The man immortalized in the lists of people to be sought was on foot and was calmly crossing via Dante.
It was later discovered that the 58-year-old was on his way to retrieve the scooter and had just left his home. The arrested man is now in prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
