On Saturday 16th September at the Charlot Theatre the international dance star presents
his book “Una vita in ballo” and then perform a solo.
Before Picone, the most representative schools of the area will be on stage.
An international dance star frames the third edition of Danzando nel Mondo, the evening show scheduled for Saturday 16 September at the Teatro Charlot, an entertainment venue in the Irno Valley.
Giuseppe Picone, a world-famous star, will speak twice. At 20 pm, in the foyer of the theater, he will lay himself bare and present to the audience his first editorial effort: “Una vita in ballo” published by Formamentis and with the precious preface by Maestro Beppe Menegatti, director and husband of Carla Fracci to whom he is linked “an immense affection as well as many memories of professional and private life”, Picone anticipates.
Later, the stage of the Teatro Charlot confirms its mission with the third edition of the event curated by Stefano Angelini and Pina Testa and becomes a place of dialogue between dancers who dream of success and those who have achieved and touched it first hand: the curtain will open first on the most representative schools of the area and at the end, Picone, Guest Star of the most important and famous Theaters in the world, 48 years old, an extraordinarily lean, shaped and trained physique, will perform a solo.
Having entered the Ballet School of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples at just nine years old, at twelve he was chosen by Fracci for the ballet “Nijinsky” by Menegatti. A long and tortuous path, made up of falls and successes. As evidence of the fact that pursuing one's goal with selflessness always pays off, today the artist returned to Italy in June after having been in Tirana for three months, engaged, as a choreographer, in Don Quixote by Ludowing Minkus on stage at the Teatro dell'Opera e Balletto di Tirana. He was just awarded the Ginestra d'Oro 2023 Prize and that of the Teatro Charlot is a date that fits between the few Italian stops before returning to Tirana and working on his choreographic version of The Nutcracker.
