The Cgil reported that a union delegate of the Fp Cgil at the Centro Serapide Spa was fired for disciplinary reasons that the union organization considers specious.
This comes shortly after the company lost a lawsuit for anti-union behavior, and while a legal dispute is ongoing that, until today, has always seen Centro Serapide Spa at a loss.
According to a press release signed by the general secretaries of Fp at the national level, Serena Sorrentino, and the regional one, Alfredo Garzi, together with the general secretary of Cgil NAPLES and Campania, Nicola Ricci, the company's attitude is even more serious given that Centro Serapide Spa operates under an agreement with the regional health service of Campania and should therefore respect the rules that govern industrial relations and workers' rights.
The secretariats of Fp Cgil Campania, Cgil Campania and Fp Cgil nazionale express their utmost solidarity with the union delegate, Giuseppe Frascogna, and consider the overall attitude assumed by Centro Serapide Spa unacceptable, asking for the immediate withdrawal of the dismissal, which is considered unjustified and illicit. Even if the reasons for the company's complaint were proven, there would be no proportion between the behavior of the delegate and the sanction imposed.
This demonstrates the absolute will to act disproportionately against a delegate of the Fp Cgil who represents and defends his colleagues. The statement concludes by stating that the union cannot tolerate the silence of the institutions and calls for the intervention of the ASL and the Campania Region to restore a condition of normality in a company that is the subject of numerous complaints and that profits exclusively from public funding. The reaction of the Fp Cgil will be very harsh and will not allow itself to be intimidated by this deliberate and reckless attack.
