It started yesterday at Coverciano the new course UEFA Pro, or the highest level of training for a coach. For one season, students will follow the 240 hours of educational program, with lessons in the classroom and on the field, and also dealing with Italian and foreign football realities, thanks to the training courses planned at the clubs.

There are many well-known names in Italian football – and not only – who have been admitted to follow the so-called 'Master' for coaches, starting with the 2006 world champion, Alessandro Del Piero. The class also includes the 2012 European vice-champion, Ignazio Abate, and the former Azzurri Andrea Dossena, Marco Parolo e Giampiero Pinzi, as well as old acquaintances of our top league such as – just to name a few – Ibrahim Ba, Christian Ledesma, Guglielmo Stendardo e Simone Padoin (the latter was European champion in 2003 with the Under 19 national team).

In the class too Jacob Leandri, former coach of the Under 17 women's national team, and Matthew Cioffi, professor of Psychology in the Technical Sector. Among the new features introduced this year, there is also the possibility for students to follow 'team building' activities, which are part of a new area that includes the subjects of Communication and Psychology.

At the end of the season, having completed the entire educational path, the students will have to take the final exams and submit a thesis on one of the subjects studied; in case of a positive outcome, they will obtain the Uefa Pro qualification, which is the highest qualification recognised at European level that will allow them to lead any team, including those participating in the championships. Serie A and Serie B.
