A large-scale operation by the Carabinieri, the State Police and the Guardia di Finanza has been underway since early morning in the “Parco Verde” neighbourhood of Caivano and surrounding areas.
A small cache of €30 in cash, including small bills, was recovered from the home of a convicted felon. The money was seized; the man was unable to account for the possession of the money and will be charged. An uninhabited apartment, which was used as a drug dealing hub, was also seized.
In another apartment another 14 thousand euros were seized. Also found and seized a Molotov cocktail and 150 bullets including war bullets (AK47 rounds) and 2 stage weapons.
This is an extraordinary “High Impact” control which, for the first time, is being carried out simultaneously by over 400 operators from the various coordinated law enforcement agencies.
The service is aimed at carrying out numerous searches and identifying suspicious people and vehicles.
The specialized departments of the police forces are in action, including the Carabinieri anti-drug dog handlers, the Carabinieri Bees and with the control from above of a helicopter of the Flight Department.
Administrative checks will also be carried out aimed at verifying compliance with the rules of the highway code and the environmental and hygienic-sanitary conditions of the various properties also with the help of the metropolitan police.
