With September, we leave summer behind and meteorological autumn begins, but the new season begins without any particular upheavals and in fact the climate will still be typically summery for several days.

A robust high pressure field will in fact strengthen between Europe and the Mediterranean over the weekend with stable weather and rising temperatures in Italy.

These are the latest updates from the Italian Weather Center that show the next week will be characterized by the September summer, it will be hot during the day but without particular excesses and with maximum temperatures around +30/33 degrees.

So, few changes in the first ten days of September which will most likely be marked by stability.

In Italy it will be as hot as in midsummer, but it will not be as scorching as in August. Both Saturday and Sunday, therefore, the good weather will prevail, the sky will be clear or partly cloudy in all regions and the temperatures will begin to rise.

The maximum values will return to touch 31-33°C in the Center-South while in the North they will mostly stop at 29-30°C. Another difference with the great heat of August will be the night values, mostly no longer tropical (therefore above 20°C) given that they will remain below 20°C in many regions.

The shape of the Bacco anticyclone will be very particular, namely omega. In practice, the anticyclone will be squeezed on the right and left by two low pressure centers, like in a vice. Generally, this configuration gives the anticyclone a long duration, even for more than 10 days. In fact, current forecasts predict it over Italy at least until mid-month.

So let's expect a period of atmospheric stability over much of Italy with warm but pleasant temperatures. Only in the South could the anticyclone be temporarily damaged by one of the two low pressure centers that grip it.
