Milan drew 0-0 at Newcastle, in a match that could have been decisive for the Rossoneri's Champions League campaign.
Pioli's team, in fact, was called upon to win in order not to lose ground to PSG and Borussia Dortmund, but they were unable to find the way to goal, also wasting several opportunities.
Milan started strong, creating several chances in the first half. The most sensational one was that of Leao, who two steps away from Pope tried a backheel instead of shooting hard. The English goalkeeper then saved his team with a series of decisive saves.
In the second half, Milan continued to push, but Newcastle defended well and even found some chances to score. In particular, Longstaff came close to scoring in injury time, but Sportiello saved Milan with a great save.
The result is a draw that serves no one.
