The safety operations in the waters off Sant'Agostino beach were concluded this morning. Last Sunday, a swimmer snorkeling near the beach reported the presence of two suspected explosive devices about 100 meters from the coast, at a depth of 2 meters.

The Coast Guard immediately Gaeta, in coordination with State Police agents and the municipal administration, had prohibited the use of the area affected by the explosion risks, which was only reopened today thanks to the removal of the devices.

This morning, in fact, the Coast Guard monitored and guaranteed the necessary security cordon for the Naples Demining and Defense Unit for Anti-Insidious Means, which, after having rendered the war remnants inert, transported them to an open sea area where they could be detonated in complete safety.
