At the age of 47, Frank Carpentieri, a well-known musician and DJ of the famous television program, passed away "Made in South", after a long battle with cancer.

The city of Naples is mourning the loss of Frank Carpentieri, author of all the songs of the popular comedy show on Rai 2. During his career, he collaborated with artists of the caliber of Enzo Avitabile, Clementine and Rocco Hunt, leaving an indelible mark on the world of music.

His disappearance shocked not only the program's viewers, but the entire Neapolitan community, where Carpentieri lived with his family.

Frank Carpentieri had been battling the disease for some time

Last December, while hospitalized at Monaldi Hospital, he received a touching video greeting from several Napoli players, wishing him a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened in recent weeks.

He himself had spoken openly about his illness through a post of thanks dedicated to the Neapolitan doctors who had assisted him: "Thank you to the Colli Hospital, home to so many medical heroes like Dr. Ciro Battiloro of Monaldi, a leading expert in oncology who is treating me, my physical and moral compass in fighting this battle.

Thanks to Dr. Umberto di Serio, Dr. Andrea Petraio of Monaldi, and Dr. Mario Guarino of CTO. I want to thank them for their work, day after day, to save lives. Thanks to the director, Dr. Iervolino, and the director, Dr. Giuseppe Fiorentino.

"Goodbye Frank, rest in peace my friend. You fought like a lion." It was the emotional farewell of the Neapolitan rapper Clementino, his colleague and great friend, who wanted to remember him by sharing a photo of the two together.

This is another painful loss for the great family of "Made in Sud", which already in 2016 had to say goodbye to another of its great protagonists, the comedian Max Borrelli.
