In the Neapolitan neighborhood, of Pianura, in the western suburbs, for years in via Trencia an abandoned building, the T1, which is in disastrous and dangerous conditions, has caused concern among the inhabitants of the area.
It was July 2008 when a very serious fire broke out in T1, built illegally in the seventies. The internal stairs of the building caught fire and subsequently the firefighters declared the entire building uninhabitable. The inhabitants of the building, immigrants and Italian citizens, were evicted without even being able to return to their homes to recover their belongings.
Over the years, many citizens have turned to the Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli to raise the alarm that has recently been renewed. In fact, following the latest seismic events that have affected the Phlegraean Fields, several pieces of debris have fallen from the abandoned building, as reported by those reporting the incident.
“They have been reporting this situation for years, asking for the waters to be stirred for the demolition of this 'monster'.” - declares Borrelli - “After the citizens' report, it is appropriate that the technicians of the Municipality do the appropriate checks and make the area safe. This produces wild illegal building. They build eco-monsters and then they are abandoned in the collective disinterest and also of the institutions that should act to the detriment of those who created it.”
